The Bronze Ace
Alessandro Valentini is not only one of the most skilled traditional bronzesmiths alive, he is a torchbearer to his family's name - a name synonymous with the Roman craft of bronzesmithing going back generations.
Among his most prestigious accomplishments include special projects for the American Academy of Rome, respected Italian critic Mario Praz, and celebrated art historian Alvaro Gonzales Palacios. His restoration work has landed him prestigious commissions from UNESCO Sites of World Heritage, including the Reggia di Caserta (Italy's Versailles), Reggia di Portici, San Clemente Church in Rome, and the Galleria Borghese. He has also brought to life precious handcrafted bronze accessories for haute couture, items featured in the most exclusive runway shows of Paris Fashion Week.
Bespoke works and restorations aside, Alessandro inherited his family's vast one-of-a-kind collection of Classical and Neoclassical bronze ornaments: copies of decorative details such as handles, escutcheons, and other decorative flourishes taken directly from historical objects and architecture in Italy.
In addition to custom works in bronze, for which we assist in the design, shipping, and installation, the following works of art are also available for purchase. The Valentini Collection of Classical and Neoclassical bronze ornaments are reproductions of decorations taken directly historical objects and architecture in Italy. There are hundreds of items to choose from, and the gallery below is only a small sample.
Restorations of works in bronze are also available. For further information and prices, simply contact us and we will be in touch by phone or email at your preference.
